FAQ

A “grazing table” is a tablescape filled with artfully arranged meats, cheese, crudité, as well as seasonal fruit, flowers, decorations and serving utensils and dishes. It's a relaxed way for you and your guests to mingle without actually cooking and preparing a formal meal.

Food is considered safe when it is stored under 5C or over 60C. It should never be left out for longer than two hours and then eaten.

The cost of a grazing table can range depending on how elaborate the table looks, the quality of ingredients, and how large the table is. On average, I'd expect to pay $100 - $150 for a full-looking 5-foot kitchen table. The key to keeping the cost of a grazing table low is buying items in bulk.

Grazing tables started to become popular with the design that included different cheeses, biscuits and cold meats. This gave people a chance to snack on the different delights and still be able to enjoy moving around the party.

Like a buffet, your grazing table must flow, fill in with greenery, fruit likes grapes and figs make the perfect filler. Simple and inexpensive things like lettuce leaves, bunches of herbs and vegetables add touches and colour to a grazing table.
